    7/1/2005

Starting July 1, 2005 and continuing until more visa numbers become available, it will not be possible for persons in EB-3 (other than Schedule A - Schedule A workers include registered nurses and physical therapists) to file I-485 Applications to Adjust Status to Permanent Residence or to obtain immigrant visas at a consulate abroad.

The U.S. Department of State (DOS) July 2005 Visa Bulletin reflects unavailability of visa numbers in the Employment-Based 3rd Preference (EB3) category for all countries of chargeability.

I-485 cases that are pending at USCSI will remain pending until the visa numbers are available.

The EB3 category, including other workers, will not be available again until October 1, 2005, which is the start of the FY2006.
